Leaving.

I just wanted to mention that I have left for Ireland and then am on to Nepal in a week or so! I'm heading to Ireland with my family, Brynn and Mal. We've all wanted to go here for quite awhile so I'm pretty excited about it. We are heading mostly through Southern Ireland but a little of everywhere. Then we are going to Scotland for a few days!

I am leaving all them to head to Nepal by myself, then Josh is coming over later for a week or so. I will be working with Choice most the time in Nepal. I can't wait for this! I'm coming back some time between Nov. 25 and Dec. 20. depending on how things go. I have a few different projects I'm doing while over there and you'll probably hear about them all as they begin happening. I'm staying in Kathmandu and surrounding villages that are about 5-6 hours away.

Since as long as I can remember I've loved traveling and visiting foreign places. I love meeting new people and learning about foreign cultures. I've always wanted to do something like this by myself. I think its 1 thing to travel like a tourist with a bunch of friends or some organization, and it's another to actually experience its people and interact with them the majority of the time. I'm really excited to be staying for longer than a few weeks for once and really getting to learn about their culture!

Geography lesson 1: For those of you who think Nepal is a city or are not sure where it is (you all know who you are). Nepal is a country located between India and China (Tibet), with a population of about 30 million people.

P.S. Trying to pack all my crap into 1 large backpack was quite the feat. I have way to much stuff and its way to heavy for airport standards. They didn't like it.
