Wilhelmina Bay, Antarctica

I'm only posting pictures on this post because it was just to pretty to skip over, but I don't have much to say about it. We floated in circles around a bay for a few hours before nightfall, just looking at beautiful mountains and lots and lots of whales.

There was a group of about 6 whales floating in circles around our ship. It was pretty amazing. The captain kept making comments (jokingly) over the intercom that he thought we might tip over. He said he had never seen the boat so slanted. Everyone on the boat was on the top deck following the group of whales as they slowly floated around the boat. They usually don't get that close to the boat, or in that large of groups so everyone was out watching them.

At one point there were two groups of whales on each side of the boat. I was on a higher deck just watching about 20 people below me run back and fourth as the whales on the opposite side would surface. It was rather entertaining.

A lot of the photos of glaciers have whales in them too if you look closely.

Our sunny day gave us an extra rare surprise. We were able to end it with an amazing sunset!
