Vancouver

After we left my uncle's home we headed up into Vancouver for a few days. We were getting a little tired of always moving and we ended up taking the sunset ferry from North Vancouver to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC and hung out on Vancouver Island for a few days.

While we were waiting for the ferry we met some friends. The boy informed me that Inception was a bad movie and 50 First Dates was the best. He was funny, but interesting. The girl was from South Africa but grew up a little in Canada. She was just visiting her mom for the week. She was incredibly nice and had a beautiful voice. Her name is Zaki Ibrahim, check her out.

We did a lot of sitting and messing around while we were in Vancouver. This was a campsite we stayed at one of the nights near the beach. It was my favorite campsite. It was really nice, yet secluded, and covered in huge trees.

The first night we pulled off up some random road, and it was super late. We had all our stuff out across the weeds when some car came driving up the dirt road. We thought we were going to get yelled at for being on someones property, but the guy just wanted to see what brought people out here. He hadn't seen anyone up there in a long time. The next morning he drove over really early just to hang out and talk for a bit. He lived in a trailer up another dirt road near by.

We spent the next day at a beach by a lake and slept or read most the day.

Sunday night we were still hanging out on Vancouver Island. We spent an hour or two skipping rocks and jumping from a table to tree branches. The three of us can entertain ourselves in the weirdest ways.

Finally we drove the rest of the way down to Victoria, Vancouver Island and then took the ferry to Port Angeles, Washington.
