Mi Casa es Su Casa

So here is why I like my house

It's pretty close to being finished. Here are some finishing touches. These are mostly the details of my house. I will post the before and afters of entire rooms soon.

I love the chairs that I got from Steve and my Grandma. They really add a ton of character and are real funky and great.

I love having a ton of photo's and can't wait to hang more. My photo plans for my staircase are real exciting for me.

I love books. I've brought a bunch of my books from my parents but still have so many left to bring, there just isn't really anywhere to put them. I like the bookcase though.

I've been super lucky, mostly thanks to my mom and years of collecting birthday gifts and such,  I have some really cute plates and dishes, and a china cabinet full of great things.

I love cookbooks.

I love having this timer.

I also love my $35 table and D.I. chairs.

We finished the basement bathroom and I'm a huge fan of the mosaic that I chose.

The entire basement I think looks real nice.

I love this staircase. When I saw the photo's online of this house, I instantly loved it because of the staircase. Having new carpet on it really is the best.

I love having hooks, I think its super important to have a lot of them when renting out rooms since you are crammed for space. We really went wild with hooks in my house, especially in my closet.

I love cool hooks.

The last week or so we've been able to do a lot of the finishing touches on my house. They are really exciting. It's so much fun seeing all the little things that change from day to day now.

I like that there is a tall door next to a mini door because the basement was so awkward before.

I love that I kept the foundation wall visible. I also love that Treq found a snail on the wall today. I genuinely have no idea how it could get there.

I love how deep and comfy my couches are.

I think the basement vanity is super cute, and wish it was in my bathroom upstairs.

Really I'm just a big fan of this house. I'm genuinly tired of working on it, as are Jarred and Treq, and I wish it was done. Yet, I'm close, and I'm quite happy with the results considering how bad it was when we started. So all in all, I feel pretty great about all this.

Again, this post is so old! I have done a lot more since then. I have finished my yard and have other cute little finishing touches. I'll document those in the future I just didn't want to go to the work of updating this one. So I posted it as is, as of about two months ago. Sorry, blogging about life is weird now, so posting the pre-written posts is as much as I currently can do.
