I Love You Grandma

Christmas this year was a little bit different for me and my family. My Grandma Joyce passed away on Christmas day in the arms of my adorable Grandpa.

My Grandma is the friendliest and chattiest person I have ever met. She cares about everyone's life so much. She remembers you, your family, your friends, and your goals. She actually listens to what you tell her, and she rarely talks about herself (though, she does talk about her kids and grandkids often).

My grandma was way to young to die. She was still so spunky and cracking jokes up to the end of her life. She is beautiful and fun to be around. She was naturally the center of everything, and she always was the one bringing people together. She is known for her friendliness, and for taking photos of everyone she came in contact with. I know that if you have ever crossed paths with my grandma she left some sort of impact on you. She was quite the woman.

My grandparents are one of the most adorable couples I have ever met. I have a really great song my grandpa wrote about my grandma that I will post soon. I hope if I am ever in her position I have somebody like him by my side taking care of me. He was amazing through it all. They are a couple that everyone should aspire to be like; both in who they are as individuals as well as how they are together.

My Grandma's funeral was really good. My uncles and father all spoke. It was uplifting, funny, and really gave people of sense of my grandma. They all did an unbelievable job of representing her. It was an amazing funeral. We had the funeral in Arizona and the burial in Salt Lake on New Years Eve day.

Brynn and my grandma Joyce were the two most unique people in my life. It is hard to explain them to someone who hasn't met them because they both were one of a kind. I am really glad that I was able to fly to Arizona so much this last year or two and spend more time with her. I will always miss both her and Brynn and I know they both had a part of making me who I am. I'm so glad that they were able to be a large part of my life, and am thankful for everything they ever taught me.

It will be hard every time something really good happens to me in life because I know they would be two of the first people I'd tell. They were two of my biggest cheerleaders and I miss having them be here for exciting news. I miss and love you both and am so lucky to have been so close to you.

Yeah 2012!
