The Perfect Honeymoon: Jimbaran Bay, Bali

For our honeymoon we were able to go to Bali and stay at both Four Seasons Resorts. They perfectly complemented each other, and created a dream honeymoon.

Jimbaran Bay Four Seasons is like walking into an Indiana Jones movie. The entrance to each villa resembled an old Hindu temple, and the rest of the grounds brought in many other aspects of the famous island. Four Seasons did an amazing job of creating a full range of Balinese experiences, all within the hotel property. They actually did too good of a job, and you felt no need to leave the hotel grounds!

For the guests who don't have their own private pool, or that want a change of scenery, there is an infinity pool and bar right off the beach. This allows you to enjoy your dinner while looking out a perfect sunset over the ocean. Kevin and I enjoyed the view so much, that we chose to eat at this restaurant almost every night.

It didn't help that the pool bar had the best beef sliders ever. We ordered them many times throughout the week and really couldn't get enough. I need their secret.

The most amazing part about the resort were the villas. I can't believe how lucky we were. I've never felt so lucky to have family in the travel business. We were able to stay in a ocean view villa; which had a bedroom that opened up to the ocean, a huge bathroom filled with flowers upon arrival, an outdoor garden shower, a private pool, and an outdoor living room!

I had read reviews online that Jimbaran bay was old and run down. It had definitely been updated since the reviews, because it was perfect! It felt Balinese, yet had the luxury that comes with the Four Seasons name. Even the details were perfect. I loved the shampoo and conditioner bottles and really wished I could bring them home with me.

Kevin and I instantly made the decision that one day when we have money and buy a house, a covered outdoor living room is a must.

The rest of the resort was enjoyable as well. They had music playing at breakfast, and statues and temples everywhere you went.

When we arrived: we were brought welcome appetizers to our room, our bath was also filled with flowers, and I was given a bouquet for being on my honeymoon. It was quite the warm welcome.

Our room came with free breakfast, and it was so big and elaborate that after the first day we had to share. It came with fruit and yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, freshly squeezed juice, coffee or tea, and a basket of assorted breads and jam.

We took a walk around the resort each day and continued to find new places and details.

Along with everything else being perfect; the temperature was amazing. It was warm and enjoyable, but not to hot that you didn't want to be outside. It was the perfect mix.

Even our little private pool felt like the perfect temperature. We loved our outdoor living room so much that we had our breakfast and dinner brought to our room on multiple occasions. It felt so secluded and peaceful and allowed us to stay in our robes, which was Kevin's main purpose.

Another favorite: the robes. Kevin loved how thin light and comfortable it was, and rarely took his off.

We love playing tennis together, and enjoyed playing every night at Jimbaran Bay. This was one of the highlights of the resort for us. Kevin and taken his medical boards the day before our wedding, so he had been really excited to relax and enjoy himself. This was a perfect addition to his week free of worry.

We loved Jimbaran Bay and it was the perfect start to our honeymoon. I would go back in a second. It is definitely out of my price range for the future, but if I ever get a change I'm in. It was the most relaxing and enjoyable places, and perfect for anyone that is looking for an amazing honeymoon. If you compare it to traditional high end destinations such as Tahiti or many parts of Mexico, it is actually a really good deal! There are also many other resorts on the island that might be more affordable, and I imagine still amazing.

I couldn't have picked a better place to start of my marriage with such an amazing husband.
