Wedding Party

We really wanted our wedding to be a party where everyone could come and have fun. Thanks to my uncles band Joe Friday I feel like we were successful. We chose them because they primarily play oldies covers. It's perfect for a wedding because every one knows and enjoys the music. It wasn't only our friends dancing; but our families, neighbors, and so on. Even the people we didn't know as well stayed for most the night. I think it was a success!

I love seeing Kevin's cute smirk. He really is the best.

I love this photo of these boys. Travis did a great job capturing them. I had a few of my best guy friends missing from the photos, but I'm happy he captured the ones he did. I have spent more time with these boys hanging out, skiing, camping, and boating than most of my girl friends. Even though I was the only girl most of the time and got the brunt of most jokes, I am lucky to have such great guys as my best friends and they have made my life so much more fun.

Katie and I met these boys in Lake Powell in high school, and it has led to three marriages so far. Stain and Katie just celebrated 8 years of marriage, Jacki and Andy are around 2 years, and now Kevin and I are in our first year.

My cute cousin and nephews were awesome and collected our gifts for us all night. 

Kevin and I tried to stay away from most traditions and just do the ones we like. We ended up just cutting the cake and having a first dance.

And then the real party started! I'm so happy we had dancing, and that so many people joined in. I knew I could count on Kevin's siblings and our friends to get things started.

Kevin was picturing our wedding as tiring and long and had been dreading the actual day for quite some time. Even with him having taken his medical boards the day before we were able to enjoy the day and really soak it in. I felt like we both were able to spend a lot more time with our friends and family that day than we thought. We also successfully avoided a long line, got to eat, and spent a lot of time dancing and enjoying each other.

My cute bridesmaids definitely were getting into it too.

My dad pulled out his dance moves for the night. I think it was the highlight of most peoples evening because they never see that side of him. For my immediate family we were afraid of his dance moves making an entrance at the party, and they definitely did.

He has some of the fanciest foot work you'll ever see. It really is impressive.

Kevin has some pretty good dance moves as well.

Alaina was one of the lucky gals that got to dance and be spun around with my uncle Don. He has quite the energy.

They made a tunnel out of the reception with all our friends and family. We stayed pretty late and I can't believe how many people were still there. I felt like very few people had left before Kevin and I. It was such a fun night, and I hope everyone else was able to enjoy themselves as well.

I really do love this boy and am very lucky to have him as my best friend. Almost once a day one of us looks at the other and sings the Disney song "cause we're the best of friends, having so much fun together...".
