Travels of the past year.

The last year of my life I've traveled quite a bit. Here is a recap of the last year, and some of my favorite places I've been or things that I've done.

This was a little over a year ago. I went to Honduras with a few friends. I loved it. We stayed on the Island of Utila most the time, and got our advanced certification in diving. It is definitely worth going to if you enjoy diving or are looking to be certified. This was our flight that we chartered because the entire island had closed down because of a mix of holiday and weather. Then us eating at one of our favorite restaurants there. Traveling and staying in hostels are some of my favorite experiences. You are able to learn about other cultures by meeting some of the most interesting people from around the world. It effects the way you look at things.

HONDURAS.

My family's favorite place to go to is Hawaii. Having travel agent parents we are lucky enough to go there quite a bit. In the last year I've been a few times. These pictures are from Kaui about a year ago exactly.

My entire life I'd wanted to go to Egypt and see the Pyramids of Giza. Last summer I was able to. I went with my roommate Traci, brother Jarred, new roommate Amy and a few other kids. The trip was amazing. We did it as cheap as possible staying in a whole lot of dives, and traveling on POS trains. I had some of the worst nights of sleep in my life. And it was awesome. The pyramids were one of the main reasons I wanted to see Egypt, but they were far from my favorite part. While I am not sure I have ever been as excited to get out of a country, it really was a trip of a lifetime. I have always had some sort of fixation with Ancient Egypt, and its just as amazing as I thought. Valley of the Kings is great, as well as Mount Sinai and Dahab. Climbing Mount Sinai and watching the sun rise is a really amazing experience.

EGYPT.

Our next stop was Jordan. We spent a day or two in Israel and then drove to Jordan. We saw Petra. If you are ever anywhere near Jordan, go out of your way to see Petra. It is one of my favorite places that I have ever been. It's amazing. Not just the tomb from Indiana Jones, but the entire city. I could spend days in there exploring everything. Then we went to Wadi Rum. There are a lot more places in Jordan that we didn't see that I wish we would have. I loved it there. We also stayed in the Valentin Inn in Jordan. It was a hostel with different travelers from around the world. It was very swanky if you ever have a chance to stop by.

JORDAN.

The last part of the trip we went back to Israel. There was just four of us most the time through Israel being myself, Jarred, Lanae, and Jake. Jerusalem is really cool. I liked talking to people from there and learning about the separation between the Muslims, Jews, and Christians. I found it so cool how you'd be inside part of the old city and see Jews of all types, then walk outside the wall and it would be all Muslims. There was such a drastic difference between different areas so close together. We saw Christs tomb, where he was on the cross, the Mount of Olives, etc. It was real great seeing the places that we have been learning about since we were children.

ISRAEL.

I also went on a few great Lake Powell trips over last summer. Here a few pictures.

LAKE POWELL.

Rafting from Moab to Lake Powell. It was Brynn, Jarred, Jesse, Matt, Nate, and myself on the trip.

CATARACT CANYON.

My last adventure of the summer was going to Philipinnes again. I love it there. We stay mostly on the island of Bohol, then part of the time in Cebu. I went with Vaccinnes for the Philipinnes.
This is one place I feel like I could spend a lot of time and never get sick of.

PHILIPPINES.

Last fall was my last semester of school. This put some of my adventures on hold for a little while so that I could finish up the last semester strong. Well, strong for me. So I still went on a cruise with all my roommates over fall break. We went to Bahamas, Jamaica, Cozumel, and Grand Cayman. I don't really like cruises and I would be happy if I never went on one again. But it was super fun anyways! I had a blast.

Over Christmas I went to Guanajuato, Mexico with my entire family to look at some of the stuff my family has been doing with CHOICE humanitarian. My dad started some MicroFranchising stuff down there so we went to see how it was going. We weren't there very long but it was good to see everything and learn more about how it all works. Guanajuato is a really cool town we spent a few days in at the end of the trip. If you are ever near it, its definitely worth going to see.

GUANAJUATO, MEXICO.

SKIING.

Most of Last winter I spent skiing. Skiing is one of my absolutely favorite things to do. I love everything about it. Thanks to all of my amazing friends I have been able to go a lot and learn a lot from them. They are the best ski coaches ever. I have so many amazing memories of skiing and hanging out with my friends up on the mountain. Thanks boys. They are really good and I love photography, so I love going up and taking pictures of them showing off their awesome moves.
