Costa Rica

I'm a little behind on posting about my adventures. I imagine I will be really awful at posting, and they'll all be rather short. But lets take a step back to March. I went to Costa Rica this year over spring break. Since I'm a college graduate now it wasn't really my spring break, but it was my friends. I went with Brynn, Malorie, and Amy. We started out flying into San Jose, then went up to Arenal. We went on a canopy tour, went to Baldi Hot Springs, and stayed at Gringo Pete's II (I think). Then we headed back down to go river rafting. It was great. The actual river rafting wasn't the best rafting ever, but it was still super fun, and extremely beautiful. We had bad luck and ended up getting the not friendly guide that liked yelling at me. My friends talked him into making me sit by him in case I fall in. They told him I can't swim very well and was extremely scared. So he wouldn't let me sit at the front of the raft. Malorie was his number one student and always did exactly what he said so I think he thought she was safer up front than me. Boy was he mistaken. It was super fun though trying to make the rafting more kaotic that it needed to be.

Then we drove to Montezuma and stayed in the Mochilla Inn for a few days. It was very pretty, and extremely relaxing after the airplanes, buses, and cars we'd been traveling a lot in. There are hammocks on the deck and you can sit and relax in the shade. It's a great place to chill, and a cute little tourist town. You can also hike to the waterfalls which are really fun. Every morning you wake up to monkey's throwing things at your room, which is really loud.

Then we drove over to Santa Teresa which isn't very far. We were planning on stopping by for a day and then moving along on our adventure. We liked it so much that we ended up spending the rest of our trip in this one little city. We stayed at Tranquilo backpackers which is probably the reason that we enjoyed it so much. We met some great friends that were a tone of fun. Everyone was like a little family there. We would all go do everything together. It was great. We surfed, ate a lot of homemade Guacamole, sat in hammocks, sat in more hammocks, ate some more.

This was our attempt at spelling out Costa Rica with our bodies. A rather bad attempt but entertaining trying to figure it out. Some of the boys weren't as enthusiastic about our idea as others.

I really enjoyed Costa Rica. It was an extremely different experience from the first time I went there. It was good seeing more of the country than before. Now I'm ready to go back and travel through its neighboring country's and stay for a longer period of time. I will never forget this trip, it was one of the most fun trips I've ever been on. We had a blast, and have things that we will laugh about forever. There were so many times there we were laughing and we didn't know why. We met some great people, and became better friends throughout that trip. It was real great all around.
